NetOne has honoured Centre Zimbabwe Africa High School, (CZA) after winning the top position of the OneMoney Fees for Less Promotion with an amount of $ 30 000, followed by Bridging the Gap Academy which had $20 000 and Good Hope Junior School that took home $2 000.

Speaking at the handover ceremony that was held at the Centre Zimbabwe Africa High School in Madziwa yesterday, the Acting Managing Director of Mobile Financial Services (NetOne), Nyaradzai Shoko, said they were happy as an organisation to be in Madziwa as it was not only the CZA that was using OneMoney as a way to make their payments but also their church was also doing the same.

“Being here in Madziva, at Centre Zimbabwe Africa High School brings great excitement to us as a business.

“Not only because the school has made OneMoney its preferred mobile payment solution partner, but the church itself has embraced and adopted the service,” he said.

Centre Zimbabwe Africa High School Headmaster, Shepherd Chingwema said they were happy with the award and did not suspect that the money would come to them.

He also said there was good mutuality between CZA and NetOne, as it gave their institution 3 000 books for students to use, five smartphones and a temporary booster for them to effectively use their phones without any network hindrances.

“Who would believe that we would receive $30 000 from NetOne?

“We have been in a good relationship with the organisation we and because of that we received five smart phones and a temporary booster was built for us which is enabling us to have full network connection,” said Chingwema.

He urged people in Madziwa to use NetOne mobile SIM cards that have no network problems.

“If you do not have a NetOne line, then you are left out, because NetOne has many benefits.

“Parents should turn from being spectators to become doers,” he said.

OneMoney is financial services programme from NetOne which can be used at ZimSwitch Point of Sale (POS) machines, to move money via Zip-It, to and from bank of choice.

This programme serves as a passage for accessing financial solutions regardless of location within Zimbabwe.
