Pavcon Industries (Pvt) Ltd’s efforts have been honoured at the CEO’s Network of Zimbabwe Awards night, with the brand being recognised for its professionalism after scooping the “Top Brand in The Construction Sector for Professional Proficiency”.

The award goes a long way in showing how far the company has come, since its inception more than a decade ago. It is also a show of confidence in the firm’s capabilities from the corporate sector and its growing clientele base.

Pavcon Industries prides itself as a trendsetter in terms of importing and adapting to new and latest technologies in the construction sector. The 3D technologies at the disposal of the firm have had a lasting impact on the clientele base, hence, in the process capturing the imagination of potential clients.

The company’s management has made it a point to prioritise introducing technology that is user friendly making it easy for employees to adapt, while also giving the client a say in the final product, as the technologies enable Pavcon to tailor-make products to clients’ specifications or rather, special personalized designs.

Under the astute leadership of Shelton Paza, who is the visionary leader and founder of Pavcon Industries, the company has withstood the taste of time to weather many storms in recent years in an environment where many have been forced to close shop.

As a means to give back to the community, Pavcon has embarked on a series of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes, which are key to the company, as it does not operate in a vacuum, but a community characterized by differences in its the socio-economic fabric.

Some of the CSR programmes have developed into annual events, such as the recently launched exciting sports extravaganza “Pavcon Sports Tournament”, a tournament that will see schools in Mamina, Mhondoro in Mashonaland West province battling for top honours in various sporting disciplines like football, netball and volleyball.

Participating schools are mainly drawn from Primary and Secondary Schools, respectively. Winners, and even those who perform below par, are normally awarded trophies, prize money and prizes like sports jerseys, balls and even nets. This is all in an effort to make everyone a winner at the end of the day.

The company is also involved in assisting Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVCs) and widows with foodstuffs and at times uniforms if the need arises.

At the end of the day, the company has a sound CSR programme, which focuses mainly on community development.

‘Our thanks go to everyone who has supported the Pavcon brand to make it what it is today,’ Mr Paza said.
