The well-written and exciting book Jenaguru Moonlight Dances was launched on Saturday online with the main launch expected next week in Harare. Speaking with the author Edwin ‘Mampara’ Msipa, the book launch is going physical next week.

The adventurous novel talks about the young man who has never been to a rural home but later found that life in the rural areas was so exciting and had much fun with his rural friends.

Msipa said he decided to have the launch online first in order to accommodate some of his Jenaguru friends who are not able to attend the launch next week.

“I have decided to have this launch virtually first in order to accommodate some of my friends who are outside Harare and might not attend the launch expected next week,” said Msipa.

According to the writer, the book will be on sale where the buyers will bid and all methods of payment are accepted.

“There is going to be a lot of activities and the book will be on sale and buyers are free to use cash, Ecocash, OneMoney, and all other methods,” said Edwin.

“I kindly ask my friends to buy the book and the deliveries will be made to wherever the buyer is stationed and some of the proceeds will go towards charity” continued Msipa.

According to Msipa, last Thursday he was in Norton where he read his book to learners at Hearts Christian College and he was glad to see learners desperate to read the books.

“I was in Norton and read my book to the learners and they responded well,” said Msipa. Mampara also said he was in the process of creating Literature for Primary learners and he said that during the reading of the book in Norton, he talked about the importance of reading so that learners will develop a reading culture.

The talented author paid tribute to Mr. Memory Chirere and Mr. Tinashe Muchuri who encouraged him to push on with writing despite some cahllenges along the way.

“I am indebted to Mr. Chirere and Mr. Muchuri who helped me and encouraged me to even work harder on my works,” said Msipa.

The author penned a couple of books including ” Nhowa’s birthday Present’, ‘ Broken Chalk’, ‘ Mubvakure’ and ‘Mafuro Manyoro’ a collection of Poems by different writers.
