“Mafikizolo Back in Town Concert” still going on as planned

Proma Events have assured merry-makers that the “Mafikizolo Back in Town Concert” is still going on as planned despite ongoing xenophobic attacks in South Africa.
“We do expect the South African pop outfit in town this Friday around midday ahead of their performance later that evening at HICC. Of course the Mafikizolo Harare Show comes at a time when we are saddened by the xenophobic attacks in Johannesburg CBD and its environs targeted at foreigners but we would like to use the Friday show as a platform for artistes and fans to speak with one voice against xenophobia.
“We also would like to thank all the artistes in the line-up who have been dropping promotional videos ahead of the HICC show denouncing xenophobia. On that note, we urge ladies to bring a doek in solidarity with victims who have been killed, displaced and injured. Stay Blessed and Protectd….Let’s meet at Mafikizolo show,” said Pitshou Lumiere from Diamond Musica.

Blessing Jeke, the Director of Proma Events reiterated the show would go ahead as planned despite the fact that there will be other gigs featuring local artists in Harare on the same day and insisted theirs was definitely the “show of the week and make no mistake Mafikizolo are big in Harare so whoever wants to attend free shows they can go ahead.”

The Mafikizolo Back in Town Concert will be graced by heavyweights like Selmor Mtukudzi, Tocky Vibes, Andy Muridzo, Gemma Griffiths, Sasha Amadhuve, Suluman Chimbetu and Diamond Musica.
