Kadoma-born upcoming hip hop musician 2 Shots (26) – real name Tapiwa Mushangi – is scheduled to officially release two tracks: Chemahara Chinopedza and Makanaka – this Tuesday, ahead of the launch of Mwana WaTeacher (his forthcoming second E.P) to be unpacked to the public before the end of the year.

The two precursors were produced at Apeiro Gang Studios in Eiffel Flats (Kadoma). Produced by Tony Kayz, Chemahara Chinopedza is a wake-up call to girls who embrace the golddigger concept, as the track highlights the risks involved.

Makanaka (featuring Tia) was produced by Innocent NoChange. The track has a touch of gospel music. Employing hip hop, Makanaka goes further to bring the mercy, grace, and glory of the Almighty to the fore.

A former Jameson High School student, 2 Shots started singing during his secondary school days. He released his first track at the tender age of 18. Over the years he has launched a couple of songs from his Kadoma base in Eiffel Flats.

Last month, the youthful musician released his debut 5-track E.P titled Stay Humble Achieving Yearly Without Yepping (SHAYWAY).

The son of an educationist, 2 Shots is inspired by a number of hip hop musicians.

” My source of inspiration is vana (the likes of) Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Reason and in Zim Holy ten actually inspires me as well because of what he is doing to the hip hop culture,” said the young artiste.
