Eight local football teams will battle for top honours this Saturday in the inaugural Prophet Emmanuel Ngoshi U14 Football Tournament.
The tournament is the brainchild of Prophet Emmanuel Ngoshi of Royal Assembly International Ministry and the teams which will battle this weekend at Stoddart Hall in Mbare include the likes of Real Stars, Mbare Dortmund, Tendai Strikers, Young Zebraz, Sunshine Mbare, Go Nation, G.T.O (Ruwa) and Cross Power (Glen View).
In an interview, the football-loving prophet said he is passionate about football development hence he has decided to sponsor the tournament.
“We have lots of young talented footballers in the country who need to be given a platform to showcase their talents. So I decided to organize this tournament to give as many footballers a chance to cave a name for themselves in football.
“This tournament will be an annual event and I hope to spread it to other parts of the country and give as many young players as possible a platform to showcase their talents,” he said.
