On Friday Savanna Company which is owned by Adam Molai Foundation launched new brands of cigarettes that shall be on the market soon.

The new brands are coming into the market during the time when the two other products of the same company are leading the markets locally and internationally. Currently, Pacific Storm and Pacific Breeze are leading in sales than any other cigarette manufacturers.

The new brands Branson and Pegasus cigarettes were on the market in 2008 but were removed from the market due to economic challenges that the country experienced during the hyperinflation years.

Speaking during the brands’ launch, Pacific cigarettes General Manager Mr. Itayi Watinaye said the new brands will be enjoyed by smokers in a similar way with existing Pacific Breeze and Pacific Storm.

‘’We have answered the call of the government for value addition. As Savanna, we abide by the laws of the government. Our cigarettes are rightly priced, and 95 percent of Chinese tobacco is from Zimbabwe. We are exporting our cigarettes to China, South Africa, and Malawi,” said Mr. Watinaye.

‘’We partnered with CTSI, a Chinese company and we have specialist Mr. Gary who is a branding scientist and our customers are content with our high-quality cigarettes,‘’ said Stanley Phekani who is one of the board members based in South Africa.

Besides being into cigarettes, the Adam Molai Foundation is into humanitarian work. When Zimbabwe was hit by Cyclone Idai, the foundation donated food, clothing, blankets that were worth US$2 million.
