Super cool stuff “Spot the ball” invades Zimbabwe

A United Kingdom (UK) based company known as Super Cool stuff “Spot the ball”, competition, whose inspiration came about in 2008 and realisation in 2019 has invaded Zimbabwe.

Speaking to this publication at a press conference in the capital, organised by the Super Cool Stuff, Monday, the Curator Nigel Daura said, the Super cool Stuff is a weekly game of skill and prize competition where customers play and win, they will walk away with one dream car.

The Super Cool Stuff “Spot the ball” is a weekly competition aimed to change the lives of the people globally.

Daura added that the customers also stand a chance to win by referring friends if the referral goes on to place a winning play.

He highlighted that the competition was created to challenge and entertain while as giving many people, an opportunity to win fast, fancy cars for a small entry fee.

“Fantastic car and cash prizes are up for grabs in each of the competitions.

“When customers play and win they get to walk away with one dream car. Customers also stand a chance to win by referring friends. If the referral goes on to place a winning play, the referring customer gets to walk away with the other dream car,” Daura explained.

The Curator added that the panel has a total of seven adjudicators which are Benjamin Mwaruwari (Zimbabwe), Nwankwo Kanu (Nigeria), Emmanuel Eboue (Ivory Coast), El Hadji Diouf (Senegal), Steven Pienaar (South Africa), Lucas Radebe (South Africa) and Veijeany Samba (France).

“Super Cool Stuff is a game of skill competition with a “spot the ball” mechanic and the basis of the game must categorically be the skill of a participant versus the skill of the professionals not versus the chance that the original spot on the football picture is picked.

“We are selling 150 000 tickets globally and the competition is targeting over 283 million customers across 54 African countries and their citizens living in the UK and other overseas countries.

“We are legally obliged to use a game of skill to determine the winner of our competitions and not a lottery or raffle. We use “spot the ball” as it is widely recognised, funny and an easy way to enter,” the Curator added.

Daura said the participants and adjudicators are shown a photograph that does not contain a ball and skill and judgement must be used to decide the position of the centre of the ball and the chosen points will be recorded coordinates.

The winner selected walks away with a Range Rover Spot HSE dynamic and US$20 000.

The Super Cool Stuff can accept payments from popular local card schemes and mobile money wallets from across 13 African countries coming online soon.

On achieving the goal of selling 3,750,000 tickets on its inaugural Super Cool Stuff Dream car competition , Lily Black  the founder, pledges 25% of its revenue to assist Cyclone Idai victims in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, Super Cool Stuff can accept payments from 2,4 billion cards worldwide through AMEX, Master card and Visa.
