The talk-of-town, people-centred, and recently established political party, the Freedom Of Rights Under Sovereign (FORUS) has said it is the only genuine vehicle for Zimbabweans to enjoy a secure and prosperous future.

The party President, Manyara Irene Muyenziwa (MIM) said a Foundation she founded under her name in 2021 is implementing practical and tangible activities that are giving people of Zimbabwe hope through socio-economic, humanitarian, empowerment, capacity building, equality, inclusive health, and developmental programmes.

Cognisant of the challenges being faced by many students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, the MIM Foundation, an affiliate of FORUS Party, awarded a scholarship to Ruvimbo Gawa to finish her studies at the University of Zimbabwe. The move was aimed at empowering students, particularly the girl child, with education to ensure a brighter future for the youths.

FORUS Party, through the MIM Foundation, is working round the clock to address the causes and effects of human suffering and poverty, linking local responses to national and international advocacy to providing opportunities for capacity building, equality, inclusive health, empowerment, and development.

The Foundation is working on strengthening social infrastructure, societal safety nets, and ensuring socio-economic empowerment for both rural and urban communities.

Recently, the MIM Foundation built a fowl run with a capacity of 10 000 birds. The project is run and administered by locals.

“To illustrate that indeed FORUS is a party for now and the future, the party’s top executive is 45 years of age and below. In our executive, we possess a wealth of educational and business experience. We also have a council of advisors as a party, some of them senior citizens with experience from the liberation struggle, industry, education, health and politics.

“Zimbabwe has a youthful population and as FORUS Party we are working to ensure the country reaps from that demographic dividend. We will focus on capacitating the youths with education, vocational skills, and entrenching gender equality and equity so as to have a prosperous nation,” Muyenziwa said.

FORUS is working on attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to Zimbabwe by working towards improving the country’s international relations through creating synergies with countries from Europe, Asia, and all the continents for re-engagement. The party is riding on multilateralism through forging trade relations with different countries.

The party believes agriculture as the mainstay of the economy will be revived so the country becomes a global food security hub. FORUS Party intends to rejuvenate the mining sector which has great potential for economic growth if utilized to full capacity.
