Bulawayo – Zimbabwe National Army Spokesperson Colonel Alphios Makotore has warned any member of the army found on the wrong side of the law will face the full wrath of the law.

This follows the sentencing to 15 years imprisonment of Lance Corporal Fortune Ndlovu, Private Ratiel Manyanya, and Private Kainos Masase by the Army’s General Court Martial sitting in Bulawayo after a fully contested trial for armed robbery, unlawful entry, and theft on 5 March 2022.

The trio were members of the force serving at 4 Infantry Brigade in Masvingo and conducted a spate of crimes between January and June 2021 in and around Masvingo.

Ndlovu was reduced to a private before the trio were dismissed from Zimbabwe National Army with ignominy and sentenced to fifteen years in prison each.

“As the military, justice and deterrent sentences against rogue elements of the force will continue to be disposed against those found on the wrong side of the law,” Colonel Makotore said.
