Financial services giant, Zimnat recently surprised one of the Sanlam Cape Town Virtual Marathon participants who is a Zimnat social media follower with ZWL$50,000.
Kenneth Manzvanda who had just taken part in the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon 10km virtual peace run, could not hide his joy when he received an unexpected call from Zimnat informing him that he had won ZWL$50,000. The call came after Zimnat held a draw in which a lucky runner would walk away with the grand prize of ZWL$50,000 as prize money for participating in the first-ever virtual race of the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon.
Speaking on the sidelines of the handover event, Zimnat Group Marketing Executive Tatenda Marongwe said, “As Zimnat we always strive to ensure we make life better in all our endeavours and the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon was another initiative to ensure we improve the physical well-being of all our stakeholders thereby making their life better.
“We are delighted that we could do something more for one of our followers. We are very grateful for the immense support we got from everyone who participated in the Sanlam Cape Town which was the first gold class virtual marathon in Africa,” said Marongwe
Luck was on Kenneth Manzvanda’s side when his name was picked in a draw which was made up of runners from Zimnat who participated in the Sanlam Cape Town marathon that was held on the 18th of October 2020. The draw came after Zimnat also held a social media competition in the months of September and October, where lucky winners were awarded free race tickets to join elite athletes like Mo Farah who also took part in this year’s Sanlam Cape Town Marathon.
Also commenting on the occasion the Zimnat Group CEO Mustafa Sachak said,” Zimnat is an organisation that is purpose driven in all our efforts, and we are thrilled that we could see this coming to life through the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon in which 70 lucky individuals got to experience a gold class virtual marathon experience.
