SUNGURA music maestro Leonard Nhau and Mutemwa Challengers have released a new album titled Chibhakera, Bhutsu Nembama.
The six-track album was produced by Jabulani Ndlovu at Trutone Studios in Harare. It comprises tracks Moyo muti, Chibhakera, Bhutsu nembama (title track), Zano ndimi, Shamwari dzinovaka, Ndochema ndichitaura and Varoyi.
The Mutemwa Challengers’ discography includes Handigone zvose (2019), Makudo ne tsoko (2020) as well as a single track collaborated with Charles Musungwa.
Born in 1982 and bred in Mutoko, the Zano ndimi hit-maker is motivated by realities that he observes in the community, to tackle social issues by providing commentary which positively impacts societies.
“My music is inspired to change the narrative, to change our story as young people so that Zimbabwe will become a better place for all of us. I thank my loyal fans as they are the ones who give us the impetus to continue churning more music. The Mutemwa Challengers band members include Tairai Pinda, Cryton Marufu, Gushero Gweshero, Sherpard Goba, Jackson Kasamba and Pride Shinga.
