Financial Services giant, Old Mutual Zimbabwe giant is lighting up this year’s Zimbabwe International Trade Fair’s Scholastica and Innovators Forum program by bringing its flagship financial literacy program On The Money.
Participants to the two ZITF programs stand to benefit from life transforming, sound financial literacy presentations based on Old Mutuals’ On The Money program.
On The Money derives its financial lessons by taking examples of behaviours from Africa’s Big 5 animals to impart valuable lessons on Financial Planning, Saving, Budgeting, Managing Debt and Investing.
ZITF’s Scholastica event is a dedicated education, careers and training expo attracting the region’s leading universities, colleges and professional training institutions. The 4-day event program starts on Tuesday, 25 March and ends on Friday, 28 April. Presentations from various speakers will focus on upskilling participants on various areas including entrepreneurship, robotics , space engineering and personal branding among other things.
The ZITF Innovators Forum is an event which spotlights innovations by Zimbabwean young people and gives them an opportunity to network and exchange knowledge with their peers, mentors and potential investors. Since its inception in 2018, the Innovators Forum has brought together innovators in different track areas and through incubation by the event partners, Elevate Trust, some have commercialized into the industry.
Over 1000 participants mostly youths are expected to attend the Scholastica event, while over 100 innovators and start-ups will participate in the Innovators Forum program and equally benefit from money lessons derived from Old Mutual’s On The Money program.
On The Money is a free financial literacy program that has been offered for more than 8 years now by Old Mutual to communities across Zimbabwe. The program has been presented to churches, universities, schools, corporates, wellness day and NGOs among other groups.
