Writes HE Dr. Tamer Almassri, Ambassador of Palestine to Zimbabwe

We condemn in the strongest terms the genocidal war committed by the Israeli government against our people for the 94th  day in a row with Benjamin Netanyahu and his far-right coalition exploiting the excuse of self-defense to empty the Gaza Strip of its population, either through murder and mass displacement or by destroying all aspects of life in the Gaza Strip and turning it into an uninhabitable land, within the framework of an expansionist Israeli colonial plan aimed at erasing the Palestinian cause and liquidating the rights of our people.
In this context, the official spokesman for the occupation army announced that the Israeli genocide war will continue throughout the year 2024 at the time the occupation forces continue to escalate its violations and crimes in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem in a bloody and violent manner which left several martyred and hundreds injured.
The extremist Israeli government continues to implement extremist policies, ignoring the international consensus to stop the war, protect civilians, and provide for their basic needs. This turns international legitimacy into a vocal phenomenon that takes more decisions so that they are not implemented due to the absence of international will to oblige Israel, as an occupying power, to respect and implement them. The principle of accountability, accountability, and punishment is absent when the issue relates to crimes committed by Israel, in a miserable double standard that strikes what remains of the credibility of the United Nations and its institutions.
The Israeli aggression toll has risen to 22,835 dead including 10,000 child martyrs, and 7,000 female martyrs, 7,000 individuals are missing under the rubble, and are presumed to be dead, and 58,416 people have been injured since October 7. 1,1 Million children are suffering from malnutrition and diseases and 1,9 million Palestinians have been displaced multiple times in Gaza. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) has lost over 142 of its employees in the ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip for the 94th consecutive day which is the highest toll of casualties among UN staff in the history of the international organization.
Since October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinian journalists and media workers martyred due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to over 109 with the aim of concealing the true extent of the genocide against our people. Such acts are considered crimes against humanity accountable under international law.
The state of Palestine condemns the racist inflammatory statements and positions that the ruling authorities in the occupying state continue to make regarding deepening the genocidal war on our people. Smotrich claims that achieving security in the Gaza Strip is achieved through building Jewish settlements as is the case in the West Bank. The fascist Ben Gvir also demanded the displacement or extermination of the Palestinian population of the Gaza Strip and the return of settlers to it. Similarly, the state of Palestine rejected Benjamin Netanyahu’s efforts to promote and market the concept of voluntary migration for our people in the Gaza Strip to hide the crime of forced displacement imposed by the occupation forces through bombing and the policy of starvation.
Let it be known that the Palestinian people will not leave their land and will continue to resist the Israeli occupation through all means necessary to achieve their independent state of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital and the Palestinian people will never lift the white flag. Israeli policies of settlement expansion, genocide, and displacement will never liquidate the Palestinian cause but rather increase instability within the region and the world.
