Old Windsor Primary School shines in Pan African Debate and Public Speaking Tournament

In a remarkable display of intellectual prowess and public speaking skills, Old Windsor Primary School from Zimbabwe has emerged as the champion of the Pan African Debate and Public Speaking Tournament held in Nairobi, Kenya. The tournament, which took place at Kasarani Group of Schools, brought together top schools from across the continent to compete in debates, public speaking, and other related activities.

The school was represented by Leora Deloise Damiyano, Maitaishe Chifamba, Terrence Ncube, Cantona Wadzingaire, Kudiwanashe Sakupwanya, Bethany Banda, Kourtney Shumba, Ruvarashe Muzokomba, Tamara Mupungu, Tavonga Mutasa, Passion Patsika and Adriel Ruvinga. This extremely talented squad is managed by two exceptional coaches, Mr Evington Sanyatwe and Ms Evidence Joseph.

This latest victory marks a hat-trick of triumphs for Old Windsor Primary School, which has consistently demonstrated its excellence in debate and public speaking competitions. Earlier this year, the school brought home the Debate and Public Speaking Trophies from the national tournament held at Amai Mugabe Group of Schools. They also emerged victorious at the SADC tournament held at Beira International School in Mozambique bringing home all the trophies.
However, their most recent achievement is arguably their most impressive yet. At the Pan African Debate and Public Speaking Tournament, Old Windsor Primary School dominated the competition, winning trophies in Debate, Relay Speeches, and Storytelling. This impressive haul of trophies is a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing the intellectual and public speaking skills of its students.
