NetOne stamps authority at the Zimbabwe Community Trailblazers Awards

NetOne’s community engagement through various outreach, educational, and awareness-raising activities, promoting digital communication solutions, and corporate social responsibility initiatives has earned it a huge accolade at the Zimbabwe Community Trailblazers Awards (ZCTA) held at the gigantic Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) yesterday.
“NetOne’s commitment to corporate social responsibility is driven by its vision to develop communities and transform lives through digital solutions. Our corporate social responsibility initiatives are highly relevant to the Zimbabwean community, addressing specific needs and challenges related to basic necessities and access to digital communication solutions. Our corporate social responsibility is unique and innovative, combining digital communication solutions with community development initiatives,” the company’s representative at the awards ceremony told Spiked Online Media.
Awards organiser, Albert Masaka, said NetOne was awarded the Zimbabwe Community Trailblazers Award for Corporate Social Responsibility in recognition of its outstanding contributions to the development of communities and transformation of lives through digital solutions and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
In a speech on behalf of Dr. Jenfan Muswere, the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services (Guest of Honour), Mr. George Chisoko, the Director of Media Services in the same ministry, underscored the importance of advancing community development and corporate social responsibility to spur sustainable development
“I am truly privileged tonight to participate in the fifth edition of the Zimbabwe Community Trailblazers Awards running under the theme “Living a lasting legacy in our communities.” These awards are designed to celebrate individuals from diverse backgrounds who are significantly impacting communities.
“The foundation of this initiative lies in fostering an inclusive mindset that involves being receptive to diverse perspectives and backgrounds while actively working to cultivate an environment that respects and welcomes all participants. Ladies and gentlemen, I’m delighted to see our local media uniting to amplify the contributions they make to our communities,” Dr. Muswere said.
He paid tribute to Perfection Media Limited, the award organisers, for their tireless efforts to empower communities.

generations. Your determination and passion is undoubtedly a great milestone in building the nation,” he added.
