Members of the deposed Generation 40 (G40), led by exiled former government minister Saviour Kasukuwere, are accused of fanning divisions within the ruling party ZANU (PF).
Kasukuwere and former foreign affairs minister, Walter Mzembi are believed to be funding a campaign spearheaded by war veteran Blessed Geza to undermine the authority of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The two are allegedly sponsoring the printing of T-shirts emblazoned “2030 uchaiona pa watch” a derogatory statement implying that the President will not attain Vision 2030.
“These people are bent on putting citizens and the leadership of ZANU (PF) on a war path. They undermine the peace that is prevailing in the country. If our people turn against each other, all the developmental gains will be lost. What is needed is to unite from the grassroots to the top level of leadership in working together towards attaining Vision 2030,” said Amos Makasi, a war veteran from Karoi.
