Senior Archbishop Prof Eunor Guti of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries International (FIF) said the church promotes peace and love and fundamentally believes in nation-building.

She revealed this during a press briefing on the sidelines of the church’s 65th-anniversary celebrations at the City Sports Center Harare yesterday afternoon.

The widow of the legendary man of the cloth, ZAOGA FIF founding father, national hero, and internationally renowned visionary – Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, Senior Archbishop Prof Eunor Guti, was among the church’s celebrated members who graced the colourful event.

She had this to say in response to a question that required clarification on the impact the church had made in Zimbabwe: “Wherever you go you see ZAOGA FIF and the impact has not only been building the nation through infrastructure but has also been in bringing peace. When Zaogians preach at a place that usually has thugs, the thug mentality disappears. lt (ZAOGA FIF) brings peace, love, and prayers for the nation.”

Among the throngs who attended the memorable occasion were members of the church from different parts of the world. Everyone who attended the event expressed joy and spoke highly of the late Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti.

Pastor Parfait Rakotomalala from Madagascar had this to say about the presence of ZAOGA FIF international in his country: “ZAOGA FIF international is growing in Madagascar. We see the hand of God at work. lt started in 2010 and now we have reached 2 cities – one of them is in the south part of Madagascar and the other one is the capital city.”

Since the passing of Dr. Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, ZAOGA FIF International has set aside the first weekend of every May as a time to celebrate and commemorate his legacy.
