Kadoma – In a strong show of community leadership and commitment to the welfare of local youth, Hon. Gift Mambipiri has donated soccer kits and balls to four Kadoma football teams as part of an ongoing campaign to promote healthy lifestyles and combat substance abuse.
The donation ceremony, held at Rimuka Stadium, saw Hon. Mambipiri hand over the new kits and soccer balls to the teams Vatican City, Golden Stars, Top Form, and Salvation Army. He also donated soccer balls to the Kadoma Area Zone League.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Mambipiri stressed the role of sport in offering young people positive alternatives to drugs and substance abuse.
“I’m proud to be part of this effort to harness the power of sports in the fight against drug and substance abuse. Sports has the ability to transform lives and provide young people with a positive outlet. By supporting these teams with soccer kits and balls, we’re not only promoting physical health but also fostering teamwork, discipline, and camaraderie,” he said.
He added that through such initiatives, the community can work together to create a healthier, more positive future for Kadoma’s youth.
“Sports have the power to unite, inspire, and transform lives. This gesture is evidence that sports can bring people together and drive positive change in our society. I’m confident that these young athletes will not only excel on the field but also become role models in their communities,” Hon. Mambipiri concluded.
The donation was met with heartfelt appreciation from the teams, who promised to put the new kits to good use and represent Kadoma with pride.
