A MOUTH WATERING WEEKEND OF SOCCER

By Elia Ntali

Having lost 2-1 at Buffaloes in their last league encounter Harare City will be hoping to put a better show when they host Gweru based airmen Chapungu at the ceremonial home of football Rufaro Stadium tomorrow.

The Harare City /Chapungu is one of the matches that have been slated for the weekend which will see a mouth watering encounter on Saturday when FC Platinum play hosts to Bulawayo giants Highlanders at Mandava Stadium.

FC Platinum still buoyed by their 3-0 victory over ZPC Kariba in their last encounter will be hoping to continue with their form and would put Bosso on their casualties list.

Highlanders on the other hand will be hoping that they continue from where they left when they dispatched debutants Hwahwa at Babourfields.

Elsewhere, log leaders Chicken Inn will host Buffaloes at Luveve having found the going tough last week after losing 1-0 to Hwange.

At Lafarge Flame Lily will take on struggling Dongo Sawmill, and both teams will be hoping to collect maximum points after losing their last encounters.

On Sunday How Mine will be out to prove that their victory over Triangle was no fluke when they take on Kariba based side ZPC.

Whawha who are finding the going tough in the league will play Hwange at Ascot Stadium and they will need to be at their best to overcome their opponents who seem to have found their feet having gone through difficult times at the beginning of the season.

League debutants Tsholotsho will host a rejuvenated Caps United at Barboufields hoping to overcome their more fancied opponents , the debutants have been the only promising team among those promoted after coming up with good results among them a 1-0 victory over Harare City in their maiden Premiership match.

Defending champions Dynamos will have to be at their best when they take on a wounded Triangle who started as like a house on fire when the season started.

The Champions found it difficult in their last encounter when they drew nil all with Tsholotsho at Rufaro.
