AAIN leads international delegates exploring investment opportunities in Africa’s agribusiness

African Agribusiness Incubators Network (AAIN) Chief Executive Officer, Prof Alex Ariho, is leading a delegation including Steven Orchard, Danneil Lee, Nathenel Abital, Jeongwoo Kim, Junpill Beack, Mark Ford, and Dr. Anannia Admasu among others from EarthFix – Australia and ISU – Korea, that is visiting African countries to foster international collaborations, enhance sustainable development projects, and explore investment opportunities in Africa’s agribusiness value chain through incubation and acceleration models.
Both EarthFix and ISU are AAIN international members and seek to establish the African Valley of Innovations focusing on increased agriculture production, and productivity, enhanced food security, incomes, and job opportunities among youth, women, farmers, and traders in Africa. The programme will contribute to efforts to accelerate the AU Agenda 2063 of inclusive growth and sustainable development for Africa’s transformation.
The consortium will include the African Union Commission, AAIN, Earthfix, ISU, Training and Research Center Ethiopia, CHADET, Excel Hort Consult Agribusiness Incubator (EHCAI), the Agriculture Transformation Agency (ATA) of Ethiopia, the Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture, Ethiopia Ministry of Trade and Investment.
Other development and private sector stakeholders will implement the program in phases in close partnership with the Korean government and African governments starting with Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana, Zambia, Burundi, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia.
