All is set for the double female book launch by two talented writers which is set to be held in Kadoma on Saturday. In a milestone moment for women’s literature, Ophar Bizabani and Susan Tembo are launching their second books in a highly scheduled double book launch event that will celebrate the authors’ contributions to the literary world and provide a platform for readers to engage with their work.

The double book launch is expected to take place on Saturday the 7th of December 2024 at Highbury Lounge in Kadoma. The event is scheduled for 1300 -1600 hrs. The book launch will be running under the theme: Her Art, Her Voice.

The literary world is waiting with excitement as two acclaimed female writers, Tembo and Bizabani prepare to launch their second books and the double book launch event promises to be a memorable occasion, featuring readings, discussions, and insights into the authors’ creative processes.

Ophar Bizabani’s ‘The Mystical Mutumwa’ is all about letting destiny take control and her latest offering is a follow-up from her 2023 debut book – a testament to her growth as a writer and her ability to compel narratives that cut across all ages.

Edited by Tafadzwa Mahachi and printed by Wordsmith, ‘Mystical Mutumwa” is a follow-up to her debut novel, ‘Young and Innocent ‘ and the new book continues to explore themes of identity, community, and social justice, which have become hallmarks of Bizabani’s writing style.

The book is the story of a young man who is caught between a call to serve and the denial of modern parents who see tradition as evil.

“I am excited to share my new book with readers and to be part of this special event. Tembo and I have been supporters of each other’s work for a long time, and it’s wonderful to be able to celebrate our new books together,” said Ophar who is a teacher by profession.

Susan Tembo’s ‘The Fool Speaks, The Wise Man Listens’ marks a departure from her debut novel which was an acclaimed work of magical realism. The new book is an anthology of moral stories and it is a collection of short moral stories.

Susan ‘Nyanduri’ Tembo said she was happy to launch another book that has 16 well-presented and organised short stories. Tembo said the book teaches about hard work, resilience, faithfulness, altruism, and oneness. The book was edited by Tafadzwa Mahachi and printed by Wordsmith.

“I am thrilled to be launching my second book alongside my friend. The book is a collection of short moral stories and it tries to remind people of who an African is. The stories guard against ill morals and encourage modern generations to go after that which is good.

Tembo is the only female contributor in the 2024 poetry book ‘Dopiro Renduri’.

Some of the stories to look forward to include Against All Odds, Hard Work, Real Women, Being a Father, Disability is not Inability, and True Friends among other inspiring stories.

Both authors have been praised for their unique voices, lyrical prose, and nuanced characterization. Their debut novels are expected to receive positive acclaim and will be widely read and discussed in literary circles.

The double book launch event promises to be an unforgettable celebration of literature and women’s voices. The event will feature readings by both authors, followed by a panel discussion and a Question & Answer session. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of the authors’ books.

With the latest books poised to captivate readers and inspire new peers, Susan Tembo and Ophar Bizabani are set to make a lasting impact on the literary field. Fans and readers need to take this opportunity to engage with the authors and learn more about their latest works. The launch promises to be an unforgettable celebration of literature, creativity, and women’s voices.
