Veteran preacher, Apostle Batsirai Java, popularly known as ABJ has made serious inroads in the religious section attracting huge and bumper crowds during his Sunday worship services or online programs.

Java, who was married to the late Morgan Tsvangirai’ s daughter – Vimbai, has been termed as one of the best preachers in Zimbabwe.

Contacted for comment, Dr. Muratsi said in his own words said: “I’m not his permanent follower, but he has an upright moral character, for moulding our society”.

Apart from religious work, Java is a well-known philanthropist around town. He has been donating food humpers to a number of orphanages and widows in different parts of the country.

His Sunday services are widely attended by senior Government officials, politicians across the political divides, church leaders from different religious groups, students, academics, researchers, and opinion leaders.

There is growing traction around his ministry, and his emphasis is on prayer, faith, and fasting. He has quoted Isaiah 43:2, where God will shield you from your enemies, and those who are planning evil against you”.

Currently, the veteran preacher is in South Africa conducting a crusade and blessing many congregations in the neighbouring country. The popular preacher is expected to travel to Europe for more engagements, and his gift is on blessing many underprivileged people in society.

He is on a fundraising track for his Tabernacle of Grace church building which is situated in Westlea, across the N Richards complex. The church structure is expected to accommodate not less than 5000 followers.

Java, who has a huge following on social media, popularly known as ABJ TV station, which has over 3 million viewers, has touched many lives, and his ministry has grown tremendously.

Apart from religious work, Java is a philosopher, a poet, and an author who wrote several books and online publications. He is gifted in several ways on how to reach out to fellow believers.

Java, who lost his wife in a horrific accident, has remained single, patiently waiting for a proper life partner from God. Our society has few insights to learn from this young man who has scooped a number of awards, as the best preacher for the year 2021, and he is well focused and has remained principled and dynamic in God’s work.

There is a huge difference in his ministry. He is not an attention seeker, he is not a lover of gifts and money. He has maintained a low profile life in society, and he has preferred to do it from behind scenes.

When one visits his church at number 99 Parklane’s church, next to the Kenyan Embassy, you will find politicians across the divide, highly profiled people in society, and prominent business community members.

His ministry is characterized by humility, sacrifice, perseverance, repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Money cannot buy you everything, thunders the young preacher, do the right thing, and God will open doors for you in life.

Apart from religious work, Java is a responsible man. He looks after hundreds of people in his clan, he is paying school fees for over 50 orphans and he has gone to the extent of blessing some of his followers with clothes, residential stands, and even food. He has launched several projects that have seen several Zimbabweans benefitting in the energy, mining and tourism sectors.

His ministry has been overwhelmingly growing for the past few months, which has resulted in huge bookings, and overflow meetings, forcing other followers to use online and other social media platforms.
