Archbishop Robert Christopher Ndlovu conferred the sacrament of confirmation on 162 parishioners at Mary’s Mother of God Parish in Kadoma. The ceremony was attended by priests, parishioners, and local community leaders.
In his homily, Archbishop Ndlovu emphasized the importance of faith and spiritual growth. “Today, we gather to celebrate a significant milestone in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Confirmation is a sacrament that strengthens our bond with God and deepens our commitment to our faith.”
He encouraged the confirmands to remain steadfast in their faith and to continue growing spiritually. “As you receive this sacrament, remember that you are not only confirming your faith but also committing to live a life that reflects the values of Christ.”
The archbishop also praised the parishioners for their dedication to their faith and their community. “I am proud to see so many of you here today, supporting your brothers and sisters in Christ. Your presence is a testament to the strength of our community and our shared commitment to our faith.”
The confirmation ceremony was a joyous occasion, with the parishioners and church leaders St James the Greater and St Mary’s Mother of God leadership in attendance showing their support for the confirmands. The event was followed by a reception, where the community came together to celebrate this important milestone.
