The Chair and Board of Associated Foods Zimbabwe (Private) Limited (AFZ) have announced the appointment of Dr. Emmanuel Katsvamutima as the new Managing Director with effect from the 1st of April 2023.
Dr. Emmanuel Katsvamutima will be taking over from Mr. Simba Nyabadza, who is retiring.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Simba for the years of dedicated service to AFZ. Emmanuel joins AFZ from Rhodsac Agribusiness where he was positioned as the Chief Operations Officer.
“Emmanuel brings with him a wealth of experience in managing cross-functional enterprises, extensive network, and leadership to the AFZ team. He has an impressive record of achievement and extensive operational leadership experience in various sectors including FMCG and Mining. He has worked in multiple executive roles that have seen him drive growth. He is an operator, and strategist, with extensive knowledge in General Management, Operations, Sales and Marketing, Exports, and Business Development that he acquired over more than 20 years with various organizations including Crystal Candy, Nelspot Brands, Straitia Beverages, Innscor Africa, XCMG and Rhodsac Agribusiness,” a statement from AFZ said.
Emmanuel has a Ph.D. in Strategic Management, an MPhil in Business Leadership from India, a Master of Science in Strategic Management, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship, and Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from local universities.
AFZ strongly believes that he will bring positive change and growth to the company, and is confident that his exceptional leadership, management skills, and fresh impetus will enable the company to achieve its strategic objectives even more effectively.
