T-Hustle aka Great One (real name Fungai Kativhu) and Russel Tawanda’s latest offering continues to bring the duo glory as it retained the top position on The Zone – a popular musical programme that broadcasts every Saturday on the national television station ZBC.

Presented by Dj Tawastock, The Zone runs from 1830 to 1900hrs. Viewers have a major role to play as they participate in the selection of the best music video of the week through voting.

Every episode of the weekly programme has the best five music videos. lt is the second time in succession that Chakafukidza has topped the charts on The Zone.

Officially released to the public last month, the song has propelled the two artistes to stardom. Chakafudza blends hip hop (T-Hustle) and soul, rhythm and blues, and Afro-pop (Russel Tawanda – real name Russel Tawanda Matinyarare).

That gives an insight into one of the common societal menaces: gender-based violence, in an effort to call people to action towards eliminating the problem.

Although gender-based violence (GBV) is not limited to women as the only victims, the recent UN report indicates that one in every three women in the world has been subjected to a form of gender violence. This was prior to the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic which resulted in restricted movements. Cases of GBV have been on the increase during the time to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

In October this year Kenya, Africa, and the whole world went into mourning following the brutal murder of renowned long-distance athlete Agnes Jebet Tirop. The Kenyan was killed by her husband lbrahim Rotich.
