Kadoma-based musician, Charles Pintec, has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. With his unique blend of energetic stage presence, impressive compositional depth, and exceptional band presentation, Pintec is reviving the legacy of the late Dendera Music Maestro, Simon Chopper Chimbetu.
Recently, Pintec delivered a scintillating performance at the July Music Festival held at the Odyssey Hotel in Kadoma. His setlist included hit after hit, with his smash hit “Komboni Yatsva” being a crowd favorite.
He also paid tribute to Chopper by performing some of his iconic songs, including “Chautah”, “Nguva Yakawona”, and “Comma”.
The crowd was wowed by his performance, with the Odyssey Hotel proprietor, Mr. Tich Mharadze, requesting an encore of “Ndarangarira Gamba”.
Pintec expressed his gratitude for the support and mentorship he receives from Allan Chimbetu, the surviving father of the Chimbetu siblings. He also showed respect for Sulumani, Tryson, Dougie, Marlvin, and Saiwe for their efforts in keeping the Dendera Music legacy alive.
Currently, Pintec is working on a new album titled “Bravo”, which promises to be a scorcher. He has assured fans that the album will be released before the end of the year and has promised “fireworks”. With his talent and dedication, Pintec is undoubtedly the future of Dendera Music.
