Vanad Mine – Zvimba North Constituency Legislator Marian Chombo, who recently won in the ZANU PF primary elections with her win endorsed by the party’s politburo, has come to the aid of Vanad Mine Clinic.
The clinic received a consignment of medical equipment from the legislator.
The clinic was operating without basic equipment such as blood pressure examination machines, which were affecting the correct diagnosis of patient diseases with the clinic having a catchment area of over 8000 people.
The local community hailed the gesture with Chief Katizagombo, born Gibson Jenami, thanking the timeous donations.
“As a community, we really appreciate the role played by our visionary member of parliament who follows in the footsteps of our President in ensuring that no place or person is left behind. The support to the local clinic will go a long way in ensuring that patients get quality health care. We hope that the staff members at the clinic will be motivated to serve the communities around better,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chombo, who is the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works Deputy Minister, has consoled Banket families who lost sons in a fatal road accident on Sunday.
The accident claimed the lives of five boys after the vehicle they were traveling in was involved in a head-on collision with a haulage truck at the 108 km peg along Harare-Chirundu Highway.
