Zimbabwe National Roads Administration (ZINARA) is set to take all its employees for COVID-19 mandatory testing.
Speaking to this publication, ZINARA spokesperson Mr. Tendai Mugabe said, “As ZINARA, we are making arrangements to test all employees. Those found positive will be automatically quarantined. As a preventive measure, we are rigorously enforcing social distancing at all our offices.” said Mr. Mugabe.
Mr. Mugabe said ZINARA is operating with skeletal staff at all its offices and will ensure that all COVID-19 procedures that include sanitisation and temperature checking are strictly followed in line with guidelines from the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
This week two Members of Parliament, a journalist and driver with Parliament tested positive for COVID-19 after they completed a week-long tour of tollgates and ZINARA infrastructure countrywide. The Parliament of Zimbabwe has cancelled all activities which include public hearings and workshops with immediate effect.
