A couple from Gonyora Village near Eben Dam in Shamva District is desperately appealing for financial assistance to enable their ill child to seek urgent cardiovascular treatment in lndia.

Handsome Mugoni (42) and Joyline Kusemamuriwo (38) are communal farmers. Trust Mugoni, the couple’s 17-month-old son, was diagnosed with a cardiovascular condition that requires emergency surgery. Unfortunately, the parents can not afford to meet the medical expenses.

“Doctors advised that our son should be flown to India for treatment as a matter of urgency. We were told that we risk losing him if treatment is delayed. We are therefore appealing for assistance from well-wishers. About US$15 000 is needed to cover the medical costs and other necessary expenses,” Handsome said.

Those who have been touched by the couple’s plight can get in touch with the family on 0788551300. Assistance in the form of cash can be deposited into the number’s Ecocash account. The Ecocash account is registered to Joyline Kusemamuriwo. Alternatively, deposits can be made to Joyline Kusemamuriwo’s Forex bank account. The bank details are Stanbic Bank; Branch – ZLT; Account number – 9140004050848.
