In an exciting cross-border musical exchange, renowned Zimbabwean music producer, Ollin Anderson, is set to embark on a tour of Botswana to discover and record the country’s talented gospel artists.
The gifted producer will be doing recordings of Botswana gospel musicians from 22 -26 July.
He is the hands behind Zimbabwe’s gospel musician of the moment, Dorcas Moyo’s chart-bursting releases.
Anderson has also produced for other heavyweights Blessing Shumba, Agatha Murudzwa, and Talkmore Muchaonyerwa.
Fast-rising Cloris Machuwaire, exciting Mai Mukanganwa, and shining star, Caroline Chidzikwe, are also under his stable.
With a mission to showcase the rich musical heritage of Botswana to the region and beyond, Anderson, who is the owner of the famous Kunashe Studios in Mutare, will be scouting for fresh talent and collaborating with Botswana’s musicians to create inspiring gospel music that transcends borders.
In an interview this Sunday, Anderson said the recording initiative promises to be a significant milestone in the music industries of both countries, fostering artistic exchange and paving the way for new heights of creativity and success.
“I am thrilled to share my incredible journey to Botswana, where I will have the privilege of discovering and recording talented gospel artists,” he said.
“My tour to Gaborone will see me meeting singers, songwriters, and musicians who have the passion, talent, and dedication to their craft. I feel the honor of recording with some of the most talented gospel artists in Botswana, and I’m excited to share their music with the world,” said Anderson.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to bridge the musical divide between our countries and create a soundtrack that celebrates our shared faith and cultural heritage,” he added.
Anderson said the recording tour would be a life-changing experience.
“I look forward to sharing the amazing music we will create with the world. Botswana, you have my heart and will always continue this incredible journey,” he said.
