Celebrated local reggae and Afrotonic musician Fuzzy L(real name Mahzul Wahab Fazilahmed) recently made history when he was chosen as the first brand ambassador for The Wekah, a local company that manufactures premium cleaning products.
The 42-year-old Harare-based artiste’s appointment came with the approval and blessings of Nikita Mayer (28), the company’s chief executive officer.
Apart from being a musician Fuzzy L is passionate about motorsports and is the pioneer of burnouts (a sport that involves stunt driving and burning tyres). His ambassadorship will see him and his burnouts team getting assistance from The Wekah.
“Besides the monthly retainer I get paid, The Wekah also supports my motorsport and burnout career by dressing my team, fuel and Tyres for all our events and l receive a monthly supply of degreaser free. I sell the product which l buy at a low cost, enabling me to make a profit on the product which empowers me financially,” he elaborated in an interview.
Fuzzy L’s ambassadorial work is to promote, advertise and market The Wekah brand locally and internationally.
The Wekah has been in existence since 2016.
As a musician, Fuzzy L has performed and shared the stage with some of the world’s greats – Akon, Sean Paul and Fanton Moja.
