Ambassador of the state of Palestine to Zimbabwe, Dr Tamer Almassri condemns in the strongest terms the large-scale brutal massacre committed by the Israeli occupation state against displaced people’s tents in Khan Younis at dawn today resulting in 40 martyrs and injuring many in a new war crime within the ongoing campaign of genocide and extermination being waged by the occupation against Palestinian people, a campaign that knows no limits to its brutality and criminality aimed at transforming the whole Gaza strip to an empty land that is not suitable for human life.
This new massacre reveals that the claims made by the apartheid state of Israel and its criminal army about the existence of safe zones in the Gaza Strip are nothing but lies, deception, and misinformation. The five missiles that were used in the attack, causing destruction to the tents and digging nine meters deep into the ground made it more difficult for rescue and medical teams to reach the victims.
The failure of international institutions, foremost among them the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, to expedite the issuance of arrest warrants against the war criminals of the entity, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu and Gallant encourages or gives more time to this extremist and fascist government to continue its genocide crimes against the Palestinian people, with no regard for international law or human rights.
The state of Palestine reiterates that states must not accept blatant disregard for international law, including binding Security Council resolutions and International Court of Justice orders hence Israel must be held accountable for its war crimes and to end its occupation.
