Upcoming ZimDancehall artiste, King Jae, has released Valentine’s Day song to celebrate Zimbabwean women.

In an interview with this publication, King Jae, born James Manama, said the single ‘Zimbo Girl’ is to appreciate the love and beauty of Zimbabwean women hence the timing of the release on Valentine’s Day.

“The song, Zimbo Girl is an appreciation and dedication to all the beauties in this country on their love and respect for us men.

“I thought Valentine’s Day was the perfect time for the release of this song which I composed a few weeks ago,” revealed King Jae.

The former Rukweza High School student recorded the song at Allied Kings Entertainment music stable.

“The gem was recorded at Allied Kings Entertainment and produced by Bleqboi The Den (Admire Nyasha Sigauke,” added the chanter.

The song invokes traditional folklore with terms like ‘Tsvarakadenga’ describing a stunner who got both the beauty and demeanor unlike the contemporary ‘slay queens’ who are often viewed as beautiful but gold-diggers.

It is a single that is likely to ignite love on this Valentine’s Day as it is an up-tempo song with a different ‘Zimdancehall’ flair.

The budding chanter is not new in the music industry as he recorded his first single ‘Kalife Kangu’ in 2010.

He believes that his friend, Nashie, who is now based in Canada has been a major influence in his music career.

“I credit Nashie during our school days in Bulawayo at Grandeur College for introducing me to the music industry,” says King Jae.
