Cameroon-based Apostle John Chi’s Harare crusade got off to a remarkable start last night at the City Sports Centre, with numerous miraculous healings reported.
In a dramatic display of faith, several individuals who had been confined to wheelchairs or relied on crutches cast aside their aids and walked.
The crusade which was dubbed “Heal our Land Zimbabwe” attracted multitudes of followers of Christ from in and around Zimbabwe including neighbouring countries such as Botswana and South Africa.
Apostle John Chi was one of the closest men to the late renowned Nigerian preacher, Temitope  Balogun Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
The massive crusade was graced by many dignitaries including ZANU PF Director for Economic Affairs and Former Deputy Minister of Tourism and Hospitality industry Hon Anastancia Ndhlovu, Hon Maidei Mpala, Senator Alice Ncube, Hon Nkomo, Hon Ruth Labode, Embassy officials, business people and visitors from Zimbabwe`s neighbouring countries among others.
Apostle John Chi proclaimed freedom from joblessness, financial struggles, and spiritual oppression, testifying to the mighty power of Jesus Christ working through him.
The prayers are indeed timely as Zimbabwe is on a transformative journey to become an upper-middle-income society by 2030, a vision championed by His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“I am not only here to pray for the sick or to deliver the oppressed, but I am also here to share with fellow servants of God, leaders and the people of Zimbabwe as a whole, what God has given me,” Apostle John Chi said.
The well-known Apostle had prayed for peace for Zimbabwe.
He also spoke of grace and blessings over the life of His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa acknowledging that he was ordained by God to lead Zimbabwe.
“I want to commend His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s dedication to the path of peace, which is guiding the country to prosperity, anchored on love and national cohesion.
“He is indeed a torch bearer and a shining example for the people of Zimbabwe. May the Lord continue to inspire and direct him, “he said.
The second-day crusade is on today (19 October), where the power of God is going to be witnessed in a mighty way.
“Zimbabwe is a nation after God’s heart. Nothing makes us love our nation, our continent, and our leaders as much as praying for them. The Heal our Land Zimbabwe crusade is for men and women of God, to come together and rededicate us, our leaders, our nations, our lands, our continent back to God,” Apostle John Chi said.
“We are here to pray for the nation as commanded by God in the Bible; children of God are mandated to pray for the leadership. As my mentor and father senior prophet TB Joshua of blessed memory always said the concept of Christianity and good citizenship are inseparable, they both are synonymous. Whatever makes you a good Christian makes you a good citizen.”
Another power-packed church service is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday.
