Ruling party National Secretary For Youth Affairs, Honourable Tinoda Machakaire has called upon ZANU PF members to unite ahead of upcoming elections.

Speaking during the Youth interdistrict meeting in Zvimba South, Machakaire who was accompanied by his Deputy John Paradza, encouraged members to refrain from hating each other post the primary elections and work together in attaining 5 million votes in a bid to win upcoming harmonised elections.

“Now that the primary elections are over, those that won and the ones who didn’t make it, it’s time to unite towards the goal to support President Mnangagwa in the upcoming harmonised elections for we are one people. We should not hate each other, calling each other names and so forth, but let’s come together and support our President Mnangagwa,” said Machakaire.

Current Zvimba South Constituency ZANU PF legislator, Dr. Phillip Chiyangwa also took the opportunity and vowed to work hand in hand with the incoming Zvimba South legislator Dexter Malinganisa.

“Dexter, is almost my son’s age, and ever since the primary elections, me and him we’ve been talking, and everything that happened during the primary elections we have put it behind us. I pledge to work with my son here, Dexter, towards attaining the 5 million votes,” he said.

The youth interdistrict meeting was also attended by ZANU PF officials, including Mashonaland West, Minister for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Mary Mliswa – Chikoka, ZANU PF Politburo Member Hon Ziyambi Ziyambi, and Central Committee Member Mike Chimombe.
