Chinhoyi – Mashonaland West Agriculture Show being hosted by the Mash West Show Society has roared to life in Chinhoyi.

The provincial agriculture and business premier exhibition opened its gates to the public on Thursday and will run until next Saturday when the Namibian Governor of The Okavango Region is expected to officiate the exhibition.

The show has seen an increase in the number of local authorities in the province also taking part as exhibitors at the agriculture show.

The Mash West Show Society Chairman, Godfrey Mavhankeni, had earlier told this publication that it didn’t make any sense for local authorities in the province to miss out on exhibiting at the agriculture show whilst showcasing at other exhibitions outside the province.

“We are surprised to see some local authorities exhibiting at other exhibitions far away from their home and we expect nearly all local authorities to be exhibiting at this agriculture show,” he said.

Some local authorities exhibiting at the show include Norton Town Council, Zvimba Rural District Council, and Chinhoyi Municipality among others.

The Namibian delegation to the agriculture show has toured various agriculture production farms and district shows around the province as a lead-up to the show.
