Rising gospel musician – Minister Lee Mugadza – is set to take the music industry by storm when he launches his third album titled ‘Jesu Aripo’.
Minister Mugadza who is known for hits such as Chikwee, Adonai, Munoenda Nesu and many more will launch his new project ‘Juse Aripo’ virtually over the weekend.
The South Africa based artist said as the world is currently under siege because of the Covid-19, he decided to launch his album virtually as he does not want to break the Covid-19 rules and regulations and put his many music fans at risk of contracting this disease.
“We are in a time of crisis because of the pandemic we are currently experiencing, so I decided to go digital with my music and launch my latest project ‘Jesu Aripo’ virtually.
“My latest album ‘Jesu Aripo’ is full of messages to our people that we should turn to Jesus Christ when we are in times of crisis as we are currently experiencing now. Only Jesus Christ our saviour we deliver us and protect us from this pandemic.
“Therefore I encourage everyone to turn to God and let’s all pray for our nation and the world at large,” he said.
Minister Mugadza has been in the music industry for a while and has so far managed to release two albums which are Moto wemapepa (2019) and Chikwee (2020).
He has the belief that his latest album will open doors for him in the music industry.
“I have been involved in music for a long time and I have learned a lot, which has prepared me to be where I am today.
“The journey has been humbling and educational because you meet different people and learn from them. As for me I have learned a lot and I am super excited about what lies ahead,” he said.
Like most musicians right now, Minister Mugadza believes that digital marketing is the way to sell and market music during the current lockdown.
“Digital is the way to go now in music, because of the current pandemic we are experiencing globally. Digital platforms are very key because your fans can download and listen to your music in the comfort of their homes,” he said.
Many might know this but Minister Mugadza started his musical career singing in the same choral group at church with popular gospel musician Mathias Mhere.
He says though many music fans might not know his name, he has been involved in the music industry for a long time.
“I have been in the industry for a long time building my music catalog and name. It is very crucial for a musician to have a very rich catalog which I believe will appeal to your fans,” he said.
