Leading telecoms concern, NetOne, is working on improving network connectivity, quashing reports in some sections of the media suggesting that it suffered a backlash from customers over a 10 gig data gift package it rolled out recently.
The company was taken aback by the inaccuracies of those reports, insisting that the package had been well received by customers.
“We got encouraging feedback after introducing a 10 gig data gift package for our customers. From the responses, most of them were eager to receive the offer, judging by the feedback on our social media platforms. We only got a few who were not accessing the service, possibly due to data access challenges on networks across the board. The network connectivity challenges are not affecting our company in isolation but, the rest of the industry. Need I say, connectivity challenges were among some of the hurdles in accessing our data gift.
“We’re happy to have received that feedback as it also settles in on our tradition to interface with customers,” said Roseline Chisveto, the NetOne Head of Marketing and Public Relations.
She added that the percentage of those who were failing to access the gift was just too low. On the other hand, those that received it and relayed positive feedback were another reason for NetOne to be satisfied with what it offered to its customers.
NetOne continues to roll out streamlined products for all seams of society at household and commercial levels. They, from time to time, introduce new products in tandem with current global ICT and artificial intelligence (AI) trends, and run promotions and splash giveaways on the market.
The telecoms company continues to bouy on stability and growth. While the macroeconomic environment in the country is characterized by pitfalls, NetOne has demonstrated resilience.
According to a Potraz Fourth Quarter 2022 Report, NetOne enjoys 27.4 percent of the subscriber market share. It has almost 4 million subscribers.
Potraz Director General, Dr. Eng. Gift Machengete raised serious concerns to the nation on network providers which feel the heat under power supply strictures as a result of the astronomical sag imposed by the use of generators.
