Leading mobile telephony company Netone achieved yet another huge milestone when it officially launched a High-Value Client (HVC) Service Centre in Harare in a move expected to facilitate access to enhanced information communication technology (ICT) services.
In his keynote address while officially opening the centre, Hon Dr. Jenfan Muswere, the Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, said facilitating universal access to ICTs by 2030 is among the government’s top priorities hence the NetOne initiative was a welcome development.
“His Excellency, the President identified national goals that are aimed at stimulating growth. One of the goals is to facilitate universal access to ICTs by 2030. Our presence here today is in alignment with His Excellency’s vision. We are here to facilitate access to enhanced ICT services and support to NetOne’s high-value clients,” Minister Muswere said.
The ICT ministry’s goal is to drive a digital economy by bridging the rural and urban divide. High-value clients play a vital role in supporting the growth of businesses. The ministry’s mandate is to fully facilitate ubiquitous connectivity through the provision of infrastructure and support systems. Towards achieving this same goal, the Minister complimented Netone for opening the HVC facility.
The service centre will offer personalized service and has platinum, gold, and silver loyalty programs that are highly rewarding.
“Well done NetOne for implementing such customer retention initiatives especially in this current environment. Client service quality is indeed a game-changer.
“We are proud that the recently launched OneMoney Remit has provided a convenient platform upon which subscribers can now send and receive foreign currency. Mobile financial services are a key enabler of economic activity. We look forward to more investment into such financial services solutions in the ICT sector,” Minister Muswere added.
Mr. Jeremiah Munembe, the NetOne Chief Operating Officer said in the quest to improve the customer experience for the High-Value Clients, NetOne has seen it fit to create an enabling environment befitting the social standing and value of such individuals and corporations.
“As NetOne we pride ourselves in the high-quality customer services delivered in all our shops. The setting up of HVCSC’s does not mean compromising standards in all other shops but is a strategic decision by the business to address the special needs of the HVC segment. We want to create customer value (better benefits versus price) which will translate to increased loyalty, market share and increased efficiency through the HVCSC.
“This is the first of the many High-Value Customer Centres that we will roll out across the country. Why are we introducing segmented preferential product offering, service and attention to HVCs? We want to establish a premium club whose qualification is based on revenue generated or sphere of influence,” Mr. Munembe said.
The NetOne definition of HVCs is in four broad categories.
- Pre and Post-paid Customers whose spending is generous
- Customers who have been loyal to NetOne for at least five (5) years.
- Key Government and Corporate Customers
- Individuals who are influential in society
Mr. Munembe said loyalty tiers will be introduced dependent on the revenue contributions. Lots of benefits will be enjoyed by the HVCs but the most exciting one is access to the NetOne executives.
“We want to engage more frequently with the HVC’s to fully understand and timeously attend to your communications needs. We are determined to continue to be your network of choice. New product lines are continuously being churned out in line with customer needs.
“Recently, under our mobile money brand OneMoney, we introduced the OneMoney Bureau De Change and the OneMoney Remit where you can now send and receive US dollars across the country. On Tuesday we launched our OneGaming platform and we will be bringing you more innovations in the very near future,” he added.
