Popular preacher and gospel musician, Prophet T Freddy has unveiled a new single, accompanied by a video titled I Wanna Cry (Lamentations of a prophet).

The 3:29 mins track which was produced by Naxo Films in Harare is reminiscent of the hit Ndirikurwadziwa which the cleric did a year ago after his church structure was demolished by the City of Harare. It draws sympathy as the man of God weeps uncontrollably.

In the video, the grief-stricken Goodness and Mercy Ministries leader is seen lamenting, having gone through trials and tribulations.

Ironically, he has been under the spotlight recently as he was fighting legal battles in court on fabricated rape and assault charges. He, however, has since been acquitted of all charges that were being levelled against him by a ZBC presenter.

In an interview with this publication, the Ndirikurwadziwa hitmaker who often expresses his life experiences in song, said “the track seeks to comfort people who may be going through difficult patches in life to find comfort in God as the holy spirit will console them regardless of the challenges they might be going through.”

Freddy’s discography includes hits such as Mbinga, Zvakanaka, Munyama Wegonzo, Kastep Kenyasha among others. He has also done collaborations with many secular and gospel musicians alike including Mathias Mhere, Baba Harare.
