Recently named as one of Africa’s Top 10 Best Airlines for 2022 by Skytrax, Fastjet has announced its commitment to tourism development in the Southern African region.
Speaking to Spiked Online Media on the sidelines of the ongoing Sanganai/Hlanganai Tourism Expo, Mr. Nunurai Ndawana, the Fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson said the recent Skytrax award reaffirms the airline’s commitment to the development of tourism.
The Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo is a leading platform that we use to continue to engage with the tourism players in the development of the industry. In support of tourism, we recently launched a four-times-a-week flight service from Victoria Falls to Maun in Botswana.
We continue to strengthen Victoria Falls as a regional tourism hub and the introduction of this flight service connects two of Southern Africa’s most sought-after destinations, the Victoria Falls and the Okavango Delta with reliable scheduled air service,” Mr. Ndawana said.
Fastjet Zimbabwe Chief Commercial Officer, Vivian Ruwuya commented, “In enabling the accelerated restart of tourism, Fastjet continues to offer scheduled and reliable flights to Victoria Falls and Southern Africa’s popular tourism regional destinations such as Kruger, Mpumalanga, and Maun in Botswana.
“Currently, we are operating 3 daily flights between Johannesburg and Victoria Falls, thereby giving unprecedented value, choice, and flexibility.”
