Sanyati – In a colourful ceremony, Kefasi Mahule Chikwata, was officially installed as the new traditional leader of the Wozhele chieftaincy in Sanyati. The installation was conducted by President Mnangagwa, who was represented by the Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Honourable Daniel Garwe.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including government officials, traditional leaders, and members of the Wozhele community. Chief Wozhele was adorned with traditional regalia and presented with a certificate of installation, symbolizing his new role as the custodian of the Wozhele people’s culture and traditions.
In his acceptance speech, Chief Wozhele pledged to work tirelessly for the development of his community and to uphold the values and customs of his people. He also thanked President Mnangagwa and the government for the honor bestowed upon him.
The installation of Chief Wozhele marks a new chapter in the history of the Wozhele chieftaincy, and his leadership is expected to bring prosperity and progress to the community. The event was celebrated with traditional music, dance, and feasting, as the Wozhele people rejoiced at the dawn of a new era under the leadership of their new chief.

The member of Parliament for the Sanyati constituency, Honourable Polite Kambamura said, “We celebrate a significant milestone in our community’s history. The installation of Chief Wozhele marks a new chapter in our journey towards development and progress. I am honoured to be part of this momentous occasion and to offer my congratulations to Chief Wozhele on his well-deserved appointment.

I do not doubt that he will excel in his new role and take our community to greater heights.
