Botswana’s gospel diva – Relifiwe ‘Fifi’ Sibanda – is over the moon after her much-anticipated collaboration with Sebastian Magacha was finally released a few weeks ago.
The song titled ‘Mororiseng’ which was produced by Ngoni ‘Gee’ Gwasira, was accompanied by its video which was released two weeks ago and it is proving to be an instant hit.
Speaking from her base in the United Kingdom, Fifi, said she is overwhelmed by the support she is getting following the release of her collabo with Saba and she cannot wait to continue working with more Zimbabwean artists.
“It has been a blessing working with my brother Saba and I am overjoyed that we managed to produce a gem of a song which has been received well in Zimbabwe and the region.
“I believe this is the beginning of a huge partnership that will benefit both our careers as we grow in the music industry,” she said.
Fifi, who is married to a Zimbabwean husband, Evans Sibanda, debuted in the music industry a few years back when she started as a backup singer for different musicians.
She then went solo back in 2021 and has managed to release a host of singles.
Currently, she is in the studio working on her debut album which will be released later this year.
“My journey in the music industry has been a huge testimony that hard work truly pays. I grew up in a church environment and I started my journey as a backup singer in different groups.
“I then decided to go solo and the support I have been getting from my family, especially my husband has been wonderful. I urge different families to support each other as we aim to achieve our goals in life,” she said.
So far Fifi has released singles which include the likes of God’s Love, Hossana, and Rock of Ages ft Zowie Sibanda.
