Zimbabwe’s popular traditional healer, Kwamwelo Banda aka Sekuru Banda has dismissed as hogwash the claim by Ghanaian fetish priest Nana Kwaku Bonsa’s claim that the late Nigerian television evangelist, TB Joshua died after challenging him to a spiritual duel.

According to a popular news website, GH Gospel, Bonsa said, “TB Joshua was attacking me spiritually. He said that he wants to finish me, he wants me to die” but unfortunately, TB Joshua lost the contest.

Sekuru Banda, speaking about TB Joshua’s death, warned many people who are saying many things about the Nigerian preacher’s death including Bonsa.

“When God created us, each human being has a specific time allocated to them to return to the creator through death. Death is God’s decree. We have different times and ways of dying.

“We should not seek answers when a person dies. Death is God’s time. There is no appeal. If one dies, that’s God’s judgment. Let’s not seek fame and publicity from someone’s death. God is the ultimate judge. Let’s abandon the culture of being a judge on someone’s character as a cause of their death,” Sekuru Banda said.

The traditional healer encouraged people to pre-occupy themselves by living righteous lives.

“Let’s get busy by making ourselves upright morally, spiritually, and socially. It’s futile to embark on smear campaigns against departed souls. Why do some people bring out alleged evil deeds by other people when they are dead? Why didn’t we do so when they were alive? Such behavior is malicious.

“I am not supporting TB Joshua’s alleged evil deeds per ser. I am against the growing trend by fellow Africans whereby they no longer respect the dead. We are making fun out of death. That is against Ubuntu – the African humanity where we should respect our dear departed friends, relatives or acquaintances,” Sekuru Banda added.
