Huawei’s virtual personal assistant – HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY – has proven to be a popular feature of the Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) ecosystem, allowing users to instantly find their favourite food applications, important documents 15 minutes before a meeting, contacts, old messages from friends, and enabling the dark mode while surfing the web, with just one swipe down from the middle of their device home screen. In addition, the AI Search tool includes an instant translator that will help users break the language barrier and a code scanner that is bound to provide users access to a lifetime contactless experience. This feature is available as part of HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY on all Huawei devices with EMUI 9 and above, also as a downloadable tool from HUAWEI AppGallery.
All device users are familiar with the feeling of forgetting where a particular app or document is saved on their device, and having to spend valuable time searching through folders, settings, and more. With this artificial intelligence-powered feature, not only are users able to search and find what they already have, based on keywords, but also be directed to HUAWEI AppGallery and web sources to find information or download links. At first swipe, the HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY reveals ‘Suggestions’, which include the most recent and most commonly used apps.
The latest version of the HUAWEI Assistant·TODAY AI Search features a series of enhancements to the user’s experience. These updates include a web search card included in the comprehensive results tab, an optimised search result redirection experience, and a modified home page to guarantee users a simpler, smoother, and more enjoyable experience. Users will also be served a view into HUAWEI AppGallery’s most-searched applications, making the app discovery process just a swipe away.
