Popular hip-hop star Fungai Kativhu (30) – aka T-Hustle – proposed to his girlfriend Tinotenda Zhou (24) at a colourful event in the resort city of Victoria Falls on the first of this month. The occasion was witnessed by invited friends and family members, in line with the World Health Organization’s stipulated health guidelines meant to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Born and raised in the capital, T-Hustle embarked on his musical career in 2011. He rose to fame with the release of the track Ndakuda Mari in 2017. The success of the song resulted in the youthful artist joining the ranks of celebrated musicians in the local arena.
T-Hustle had this to say about the moment he asked Tinotenda the big question: “l wasn’t sure she was going to say yes. The atmosphere was electric honestly and when she said yes, l felt a big lid being lifted from my shoulders.”
A teacher by profession, Tinotenda said she loved every moment of the event.
“The whole engagement ceremony was a blast. I loved and enjoyed each and every moment. I just wish I could rewind,” she said during an online interview.
T-Hustled wore a Dubai-imported Arab outfit for the historic occasion and Tinotenda looked elegant in a red designer dress.
Tinotenda and T-Hustle, both resident in Harare, started dating a year ago. The couple is making plans to tie the knot sometime this year.
