UFC boxer, Themba Gorimbo, will be honoured at the 8th South African edition of the Zim Achievers Awards to be held on the 18th of November.

The award is in honour of his resilience after the bumpy road he has been through but still stood strong until he became UFC Welterweight.

Also, to be honoured, is businessman Kuda Musasiwa for his success after innovating agricultural technology start-up Fresh In A Box, an online agricultural shop where buyers can buy fresh agricultural produce.

The shortlist of the renowned awards was recently released, and the ceremony is being held at Indaba Hotel in Fourways.

ZAA Founder Conrad Mwanza said the return to South Africa is not only to celebrate Zimbabweans that are raising the colourful flag high but also to create lasting relations through the awards.

“We also acknowledge our sponsors who continue to throw their weight behind our vision to amplify Zimbabwean success stories.

We extend our congratulations to all the nominees and look forward to another grand movement,” he added.

Flamboyant businessman and yestertide luminary gospel hip hop musician Mudiwa Hood is being given his flowers for his philanthropy, and veteran musician Buffalo Souljah is being honored for his contribution on the entertainment scene.

Businessman Zunaid Moti is receiving a gong named Friend of Zimbabwe for his various investments and empowerment projects in Zimbabwe.

“African Youth Ambassador for Peace for Southern Africa Cynthia Chigwenya is also getting honoured for her work in international policymaking and blazing a trail in the diplomatic space.”

Voting is already running on www.zimachievers.org.

ZAA has been running since 2010, and over the years, they have been giving flowers to the well-deserving people for raising the flag high.

Since its birth, the renowned awards have managed to stretch their wings into different countries and among them South Africa, UK, USA and Australia.
