Sungura fans will be in for a treat in Budiriro as Sungura musician Collen Timeo will be sampling his new album.

It has been a Sungura dominion this year as Sungura musicians have been releasing albums one after another and not to be outdone is former Kotwa High School student Timeo who is set to release Pinginuro.

To whet the appetite of Sungura enthusiasts, Timeo says he will be performing some of the songs on the new offering at Café B5, Budiririo 5B Shops.

“I am ready to tease my fans with the upcoming album Pinginuro in Budiriro today. The album carries 6 tracks,” said the musician who is affectionately known as Wairemera Boss.

The Sungura Vibes frontman speaks on the proliferation of immorality among young couples now christened ‘Mjolo Pandemic’ in one of the songs in the upcoming album.

“In DengaraShe, I am reincarnating the role of family elders in advising young couples of marital challenges they face and how they should react. I also emphasize the need for divine intervention to keep marriages intact,” explained Timeo.

In another song on the album, fans can afford the opportunity to listen to ‘Mapudzi Matete’ which is a clarion call for God’s protection of one’s family and delves into ritual killings of children.

“Mapudzi Matete is a song where I am singing about praying to God so he protects my children from devil incarnations. I also lambast witches, ritualists, and murderers who kill innocent children in their quest for riches,” he adds.

The other songs making up the 6-track album include Vanokuita Mpmbe, Ndonhuwa Sango, Ratidzo and Pamera Mupangara.

Aside from music, Wairemera Boss is a business consultant and a philanthropist.

Recently, he held a fundraising show at his former school, Kotwa High, which raised money to buy new curriculum textbooks.

The musician said he plans to do more of these shows in the whole of the Mudzi District where he hails from.
