The Minister of Environment, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Honorable, Senator Prisca Mupfumira and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) officials will be in Kariba to meet tourism players today.
The meeting will take place at Caribbea Bay Hotel and the delegates are expected to access and strategize on ways of reawakening the tourism resort town.
Kariba which houses the world’s largest man- made lake has over the years been on a decline of tourists arrivals. A slow growth rate and lack of viability saw the national carrier, Air Zimbabwe, suspending it’s flights connecting Kariba with Harare and Victoria Falls.
Kariba a designated tourism development zone which will be awakened speedily as the new thrust seeks to dedicate energy on development. This will be done and implemented alongside a new, robust and aggressive marketing strategy.
